Once upon a time in a land far away lived three playful baby dragons. One red, one green and one grey. Each of these little ones had a gift, a special power that they alone could use for good.

The little red dragon was gifted with fire.

The little green dragon was able to make the grass in the fields and on the mountains grow lush and green.

The little grey dragon could turn earth to black gold.

As much as they loved their home, they were young and desperate for adventure so the little dragons decided to fly as far and as wide as they could until they found a place where their gifts would be welcome.

They flew far and wide and found themselves in a beautiful land, where the people were kind and offered them water and food and a mountain to live in.

All the little dragons agreed that this was the most wonderful place, and the kind people deserved their gifts.

In the morning, the little dragons gathered the people and shared their secret.

First the little green dragon breathed his green flame into the ground and all around the grass grew, the flowers blossomed, and the crops flourished.

Next the little grey dragon breathed his power into the earth and black gold sprung up under the ground.

Finally, the little red dragon breathed his red fire into a pile of sticks.

“This is a fire that will never go out and will keep you warm and safe even in the coldest of winters.”

The people were so happy and promised that the little dragons could stay in their mountain forever and they would always be kept safe.

The dragons thanked them and asked them finally, where is this place, that we now call home.

The people replied, this is Wales.
